Minallo

Minallo

Built in 1891, Minallo sets the standard for distinguished period architecture in Tasmania.

The Hobart mansion was renovated and an extension added in recent years by JAWS Architects.

It is suggested that Minallo was named after John Lord’s daughter Minnie Alice Lord.

Albuera Schoolhouse / Hobart

Albuera Schoolhouse

The Albuera Schoolhouse is an iconic gated apartment complex within Hobart’s, most prestigious residential suburb, Battery Point. Comprising only four tightly-held apartments, the grandeur and scale of these palatial residences is genuinely impressive. Constructed in 1913, this stately building was sympathetically re-developed in 2003 and has been fastidiously maintained to this day.

Fusilier Cottage

Fusilier Cottage

Fusilier Cottage is a historic bluestone and sandstone Georgian home built with convict labour around 1838 by Angus McLeod.

Fusilier Cottage is a recognisable and often-photographed cottage, heritage listed, and on the itinerary of many visitors to Battery Point.

In 2018, the local owners commissioned Tasmanian architects Bence-Mulcahy to design a contemporary extension.
