I always enjoy photographing farmers and food producers. I love hearing their stories and get a better understanding of where our food comes from.
I photographed the Coal River shop in Hobart just before it opened earlier this year.
The build was done by Luke de Vries at CWD. Great style and workmanship as usual.
Over the last 6 months I have been documenting projects to build an image library for Energy Solutions in Hobart.
Their website is now launched and here are my favourite images.
The hero image below was shot on a very cold but beautiful morning. The sky was perfect and we were lucky to pick up the blue colour present in their logo. The bitumen required a lot of retouching to get rid of skid marks, etc.

L’Occitane en Provence in the Cat and Fiddle Arcade
I had to use ambient light and the result turned out quite well.

Dusk shot of an apartment complex on Sandy Bay road, showcasing the car park and exterior lighting

I have photographed the Nant distillery in Tasmania since its renovation years ago.
Despite all the issues that have surfaced in recent years I have to say that it has always been nice to work with them and I have always been paid on time, etc.
I was pleased to be asked back by the new owners to shoot some fresh images for the Nant Distilling Company (www.nant.com.au).
I spent a busy day shooting a range of images… the best ones below.

I don’t think they’ll use this one but I like it 🙂

I have been working with Laurelle and John, owners of Woodbridge on the Derwent, for several years now.
Last year they opened an exciting new venture : Truffle Lodge. Situated on an idyllic stretch of the Derwent River, Truffle Lodge offers a unique glamping experience.
Here are some of the images we created…
On Friday I was shooting a commercial architecture job from the Hobart rooftops when these 2 cranes and beautiful clouds caught my eye.
Back in the office I started processing the image and I thought the black and white version looked impressive. I printed it straight away and the print looks so good… I love it.
I had the pleasure of photographing the opening of Bentley Workspaces new office in Hobart.
What a stunning space. Looking forward to doing a proper architectural shoot later this year.
Stunning location, fabulous architecture and luxury cars… what else could you ask for ?
🙂
I enjoyed the Range Rover / Saffire photoshoot very much.
Congratulations to Blythe & Watchorn Builders for winning Apartment of the Year at the recent HIA Awards in Tasmania.
I have been photographing their building and renovation projects for a few years now and it is always a shared pleasure when a client wins an award with photography I have done for them.
Loic has been taking pictures of our projects for both award entries and advertising purposes for the last three years.
He manages to capture the best aspects of our work time and time again.
We have won several awards using his images and are always thrilled with the pictures that he has taken for us.
